YOU SHOWED UP WITH A SMOOTH BRAIN.

The Braindance mascot: a purple line-drawing of a smiling lizard wearing a boombox headset Smoothie

In the next hour you're going to wire it into something that remembers, connects ideas, and gets sharper every time you use it — built from your own real company material, not a template full of placeholders.

FORMAT: SELF-PACED BUILD RUNTIME: ~65–70 MIN TOOL: CLAUDE OR CHATGPT PROJECTS BRING: 3–5 REAL DOCUMENTS
SEE THE ROADMAP

This page works two ways: follow it live on the call while your facilitator talks, or come back later and run the whole build solo.

01 BEFORE WE START

WHAT A "SMOOTH BRAIN"
ACTUALLY IS

Every new AI chat starts smooth — no memory, no context, no idea who you are or what your company sells. You explain everything again. You paste the same three documents you pasted last week. The model is capable, but it's a stranger every single time you open it.

A Marketing Brain fixes that. It's one living workspace that remembers your positioning, your competitors, your ICP, and your best lines — and gets more useful every time you add to it. By the end of this session you'll have a working first version of yours, built from real material, not a template full of placeholder text.

02 WHAT TO BRING

GRAB THESE BEFORE YOU GO FURTHER.

Don't have all five? Bring what you've got — three real documents is enough to make this work. The only rule: it has to be real material, not a description of your material.

04 THE BUILD

LET'S WIRE THIS THING UP.

01

NAME THE PROBLEM

Answer these for yourself — out loud if you're live on the call, in a notes doc if you're running this solo. Don't skip it.

  • Where does AI currently break down for your marketing or sales work?
  • How often do you find yourself re-explaining the same context to ChatGPT or Claude?
  • What would it be worth if your AI actually remembered and improved over time?
Presenter

Ask these aloud and let the silence sit — 60 to 90 seconds is fine, even on a large call. This is where the room decides whether the next hour is for them.

02

SET UP THE BRAIN

Goal: a clean Claude or ChatGPT Project with the template loaded and your header filled in.

  1. Open Claude or ChatGPT and create a new Project named "[Your Company] Marketing Brain."
  2. Copy the full template below and paste it in as the project's instructions / knowledge — not into a regular chat message.
  3. Fill in the header: Company Name, Owner, Focus, and Date.
Presenter

This is the one genuinely fiddly step. Most people who get stuck pasted the template into a regular chat instead of the Project's instructions or knowledge field. Walk through it once on screen share before turning a large room loose on it.

03

FEED IT (INGEST)

For each document you brought, paste it in using this exact format. Run it once per document — three to five times is ideal.

INGEST: [paste your document or notes here]

Then do it again for your second document. And your third. Real material only — the brain is only as sharp as what you feed it.

Presenter

This is heads-down work and it's long on purpose — it's the step that makes everything after it feel like magic. Keep energy up with a running count in chat rather than checking in on individuals, which doesn't scale past a small group.

04

FIRST COMPILE

Turn the raw material you just fed it into a clean, usable structure.

Review everything you've ingested so far.
Clean up and strengthen the Company Context and Competitive Intelligence sections.
Make the structure clear, well-organized, and immediately useful.
Keep language precise and strategic.

Paste it, run it, and watch your raw pasted documents turn into an organized brief. This is usually the first moment people sit up a little straighter.

05

PRODUCE REAL ASSETS

Pick two or three of these. You don't need to run all five.

30-Day Experiments

Based on what you've learned, what are 3 high-leverage experiments we should run in the next 30 days?
Add them under Insights & Learnings.
06

COMPOUND + CLOSE

Ask one more question — something that pulls from more than one section you built today. A question that mixes messaging and competitive intel is a good one. Notice that the answer is sharper than anything you'd have gotten an hour ago from a blank chat.

That's the whole point. The brain you built today is already stronger than when you started, and it keeps getting stronger every time you use it.

Presenter

Say it out loud: "This brain is stronger right now than it was an hour ago." Let that land before you move into the close — don't rush straight into the pitch behind it.

05 THE TEMPLATE

MARKETING BRAIN TEMPLATE.

This is the exact starter document you paste into your Project in Phase 2. Copy it, download it, or both.

## AI Operating Rules
You are the knowledge architect and research librarian for this Marketing Brain.

Rules you must follow:
- Treat everything under **Raw Sources** as immutable. Only append new material.
- When I say **INGEST:**, extract the most important facts, claims, customer language, numbers, and insights. Update the structured sections below. Create or refine clean pages and use [[Internal Links]].
- When I ask you to generate something useful (battle card, messaging hierarchy, email sequence, objection handler, etc.), make it immediately usable — then file the strongest version back into the appropriate section.
- Always end every response that changes the brain with the **complete updated Markdown** of this entire document inside a code block so I can copy it.
- Be precise, strategic, and concise. Prefer frameworks, bullets, and clear language over long prose. Flag assumptions clearly.

06 ONE LAST THING

YOU DIDN'T JUST TAKE A WORKSHOP.
YOU BUILT A BRAIN.

What you just built is already more useful than what most marketing and sales teams are running today.

You now have a living system that remembers, connects ideas, and gets stronger every time you use it. That's a real step up from starting over in a blank chat every single day.

Here's the honest limitation of the version you built today: it still depends on you remembering to feed it, clean it, and keep it consistent. As soon as you get busy — or someone else on the team needs to use it — the quality starts to slip. The knowledge stops compounding the way it should.

At Braindance we take this same foundation and turn it into a properly maintained system. One that stays current, works across the team, connects to the tools you already use, and keeps getting smarter without you having to babysit it.

Some of you will be happy continuing with what you built today. That's completely fine. Others will want help turning this into a real operational advantage for the team.

If you'd like to explore what a more robust version could look like for your company, just reply to the follow-up email or grab time with me. No pressure either way.

The most important thing is that you now have a working brain instead of starting from zero.

What you just experienced is the difference between using AI as a clever search box versus giving it a real, compounding memory.

The version you built today is a strong start. The main limitation is that it still relies on you to maintain it.

If you'd like help turning this into a system that stays sharp and scales with your team, I'm happy to talk. Otherwise, take what you built today and keep growing it — you're already ahead of most teams.
